TITAN’s USB-4485-M is an industrial-grade USB to 4-port RS-485 adapter designed to add four high speed RS-485 communication ports to your server or PC. This USB to 4-port RS-485 adapter has easy plug-and-play and hot-swapping features, so it is automatically detected and installed. There are no IRQ & COM port conflicts, since the port doesn’t require any additional IRQ, DMA, memory as resources on the system. The RS-485 port functions as a native Windows COM port, and it is compatible with Windows serial communication applications. Each RS-485 port has its own built-in serial number in the hardware, and the COM port numbers and port sequence assigned will be always maintained after every reboot.

The USB-4485-M is designed for the use in the environment requiring 2-wire half duplex RS-485 modes. Two operation modes, 2-wire RS-485 with Echo and 2-wire RS-485 without Echo, are selectable by DIP switches. The operation mode of each port can be set individually, and the serial communication parameters in each port properties are configurable. Each RS-485 port is with built-in 15kV ESD protection and 600W surge protection.
